Brier Elementary PTA

Have you Joined PTA yet? Membership connects you with a network of parents within our community, and helps you stay informed and involved in what is going on at your child’s school. It also allows your voice, your opinion, and your vote to be counted. A strong PTA Membership helps support and creates a Strong School, where all of our children can grow, learn, have fun, and be successful.Membership does not come with strings. You are not required to volunteer your time or attend meetings.

Upcoming events and Dates to Remember

Feb 1 Mural class begins. Students go to the art room at the end of school. Don’t forget to packa snack. Parents please pick up your students at 5:30pm. Thank you

Feb 4 Edmonds Comedy Night @ Edmonds Center for the Arts. Tickets are $25 each for general admission (Showtime 7:30pm) or $55 each for VIP seating & reception (beginning at 6:00pm). Tickets can be purchased at www.ec4arts.org. $5 from every ticket sold goes to our PTA – be sure to use the drop down menu to designate our school so we receive the donation.

Feb 8 Join us for our second PTA General Membership Meeting. Meeting will be held in the school library from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. Free childcare is provided by the Beyond the Bells staff. Nominating committee will be elected, and presentation/demonstration of how to read with your child. There will be drawings for door prizes as well as coffee and cookies. **This is the meeting that was originally scheduled Jan 18 that was cancelled due to the weather.

Feb 13 Edmonds Council PTSA Meeting 7-8pm @ ESC located at 20420 68th Ave W, Lynnwood, WA 98036

Feb 15 Family Skate Night at Lynnwood Bowl & Skate from 6-8 pm. This is not a drop off event.

Mar 14 Join us for our third PTA General Membership Meeting. Meeting will be held in the school library from 7:00pm – 8:00pm. Free childcare is provided by the Beyond the Bells staff. Elections for the executive officers for the 2012/2013 school year will be held. There will be drawings for door prizes as well as coffee and treats.

Mar 16 Family Movie Night – come watch the Smurfs with us. Doors open at 5:30, movie begins ~6:15pm. Admission is FREE, pizza, beverages, popcorn and concessions will be available for purchase.

Is one of your goals for 2012 to get in shape? Join Fitness 19 in Mountlake Terrace (QFC shopping center) and they will make a $10 donation for each new member when you present this flyer . Special rates for Brier Parents: $49 Joining fee for 1st adult, $12/month $39 Joining fee for 2nd adult, $12/month Please contact Fitness 19 for additional family rates Special rates for Students 12 years & older: $39 Joining fee, $9/month
