with any questions:
The Brier Elementary PTA sponsors one major fundraiser as well as “passive fundraisers”, “grant fundraisers”, and other smaller fundraisers throughout the 2006-2007 school year.
I n order to support the many programs we support the Brier PTA will once again sponsor a Fall Catalog and Cookie Dough Sale. Proceeds from this sale fund about 1/2 of our operating expenses, and it is our largest fundraiser of the year. This sale gives parents, family members and friends the opportunity to purchase gifts, wrapping paper, cookie dough and all sorts of other fun items in order to help the students raise money for the PTA.
T
his year we have chosen the Great American Opportunities Fundraising
Company. Families will also have the opportunity to purchase
delicious Tasty Batters Cookie Dough, and beautiful lead-free and
nickel-free jewelry from the Designs Collection.
T he kick-off assembly will be on September 25th and the sale will last for two weeks. Orders will be due on Monday October 13th. The PTA receives 50% of all catalog sales and 40% of cookie dough sales. There is one simple order form for both the catalog items and the cookie dough, so it will be easy for all! The company is offering a great prize program so check out the packet coming home September 25th. In addition to that, we will give away raffle prizes and instant prizes to those who can show they have sold 10 items. Each class with at least 60% participation will be entered into a drawing to win a fun class party of their choice.
W atch for your Gift Catalog and order forms to come home on September 25th. There is an online catalog for those out-of-town family and friends at www.gafundraising.com. Our school's ID number is 968339.
Entertainment Books
Passive fundraisers are simple to do and really help a lot. Please take the time to register any cards and save your boxtops and inkjet cartridges. This is the easiest way to provide our school with a lot of $$ to support our valuable programs. You can ask your family and friends to enroll too.
eScrip
How the program works: eScrip links participating stores/merchants to your registered Safeway card, debit cards, and credit cards. Each time a purchase is made at a participating merchant with a registered card, a donation is made to the Brier PTA. Log on to www.escrip.com and go to “sign up”. Designate Brier PTA to receive contributions (group ID# 8560992) and register your Safeway card, debit cards, ATM cards, and credit cards. Continue shopping as you usually would.
Albertson’s
Card
How the program works: Albertson’s will contribute up to 4% of your purchase to our PTA. Go to www.albertsons.com, enter zip code 98036, click on “In the Community” at the bottom of the page, click on “Community Partners” on the right side of the page, then log in with your Albertson’s club card # and phone number, click on “find a partner”, link your card with Brier PTA ID # 49000123743. Once that is done, when you use your preferred card at any Albertson’s, it will automatically be linked to Brier PTA.
Box Tops for
Education
How the program works: In October and February of each year, PTA has a Box Tops contest among classrooms to see which class(es) can bring in the most Box Tops for Education. The classes bringing in 350 or more receive a treat. All you have to do to help is cut out and send in Box Tops from participating products. Our PTA receives 10 cents per Box Top and/or the face value of each Bonus Box Top submitted. Box Tops are found on common products such as Pillsbury, General Mills cereals, Ziplocs, Gold Medal, Betty Crocker, Yoplait and many more. Send in your boxtops in a baggie with your child’s name and teacher during the specified weeks.
Wamoola
How the program works: If you are already a Washington Mutual Bank customer, enroll at www.wamoolaforschools.com which will earn a point for our school every time you use your ATM card. These points will be converted into a donation that can be used by the school.
